DNF

I thought this would be a non-fiction book about all things Valkyrie. Instead, it starts as non-fiction and quickly devolves into made-up stories surrounding bones found and sagas depicting a female warrior whose bones may or may not have been the bones found. It’s not terrible, but it’s being demoted to my DNF pile.

I’m over halfway into the book and it’s not been stolen once, let alone three times. I give up - shelving this one. I kept waiting for the author to get to the point…

I thought this would be a more fun read than it was, at least for me. Math types would dig this. While the author peppered the lessons with humor, it definitely traveled in the weeds mathematically and lost me.

With all that said, I like and understood the larger context and message he conveyed. So, 50/50 on the book overall.

I stopped reading this book. While amazing, I kept getting more and more depressed. I just couldn't finish.
