This book is excellent as an audiobook

I have learned that if I'm not into a book by 15% of the way through, I don't need to finish it. And this was def one of them 🥲

The main character is hilarious lol

This little girl is low-key unsettling

This book is like an anime filler arc we didn't need.

The audiobook is not bad, but the narrator speaking Floyd's voice is not great LOL. He sounds like a robot pretending to be a human??

Only took me 1/3 of the book to realize I got the teen/YA version of the audiobook

He's a professor now? I mean ok I guess?

Rereading so I can reread Iron Flame so I can finally read Onyx Storm lol. Also nice rereading and catching hints of plot points that happen later

I'm surprised I made it this far, but I don't think I can continue 😭 Out on a Limb and Out of the Woods were so good and this one is already falling short of my expectations. I don't like either characters and the dialogue is kinda cringy 🙃

So far this is like Caraval except instead of a circus, it's a haunted house

Slow(ish) first half of the book, but I think the plot is finally picking up! This read is perfect for Halloween

KX Song said she wanted to write a book that her childhood self would read late at night under the covers, and I totally get that feeling cuz I don't wanna sleep yet and I want to continue reading 😭

This is so good so far! I do have high expectations after attending KX Song's book talk/signing a few days ago, but I can definitely see all the elements she talked about being present and I'm enjoying this so much.

I think I'm gonna add this to my DNF pile 🥲

This book is way too good. Also crazy how religion is used to justify current and past events, and people turning a blind eye to things that don't serve/benefit them. Real close to reality here 🥲
