Letters are powerful things. Jonathan wrote letters thinking his time was short. He wrote them to say goodbye--but as sojourners, aren't we all just passing through? Our conversations, texts, messages, and phone calls--letters--should all be built around this thought.

A large lake trout floats beneath our boat with the silent grace of a coasting bird. I pull William back from his scamper to the other side. Our tilting to and fro just about had us swimming with the fish in its chilly world of liquid green. ~Jonathan

Kitch-iti-kipi is beautiful in the summer but spectacular in the winter. We're about due for a trip.

Izzy still has my face and she's looking at me. Her smile is growing and my discomfort is swelling with it. I didn't notice our eyes were locked. What did she see? What did I reveal to her?

Kshiwe' whoops, and it jolts the mites body and startles her eyes wide. It's an alarm that straightens the bent backs of women scrappin' fat from stretched hides and halts the knuckles of those kneedin' inside wide-mouthed bowls.

2020 isn't a surprise to Him. He isn't wringing His hand in worry. He has a plan. Trust in Him.

Readers are really appreciating the Woman of Sorrow and Avery. They are connecting with the two and that makes me super happy.

One of my favorite things about the UP is the sled dog race every winter. Mushers come from all over the country to qualify for the Iditarod. Covid squashed it this year. Next year, though, I'll be ready for my doggos!

Thinking of my nephew today. He knew the steep price and he paid it. Much love and prayers to the"frozen" and their families struggling with drug addiction.

Transformations.
Some take a lifetime. Some.. years. For others, changes can be lightening quick. Readers will get the chance to see just two of the different ways God can work. He can work slowly but He can also administer changes of the heart with the speed of a fingers snap. If we don't believe the latter to be true, we've put God in a box. 💗

Our family has the most amazing after dinner conversations. Honest, open, edifying and healing.

Odedeyan and Mikonan provide the example of what a healthy father in and son relationship should look like. Jonathan has a decision to make. Keep going on as he always has, or change his thought life. Honestly, what we have bumbling about in our heads is where our resistance lies.
