Writing is hard time for some long form nonfiction to make world building easier

Katabasis was fun because we learned but it was outside the classroom and in hell

For a dark academia novel it’s very authentic to the campus experience of going to class every day

I love the themes but this is slow. The most enjoyable parts are learning about translation and empire and I like the way it’s explored through the dynamic of the friend group but it just feels so long.
