This is an intense book about coming to terms with someone's suicide and how that affects your relationships. This family is messed-up and the perspective is working for me. I believe this will be a powerful novel. I love Ellen Hopkins. She's one of my favorite authors.

I believe middle school sucks because of misunderstandings that occur when you don't express how you feel to your friends. Everyone has secrets and nobody's left unscathed. I like the multiple perspective because it helps you understand each person's point of view about these situations. It brings back some memories of my own experience, which was a mix of sad, confusing and happy moments. They need to be honest.

I love this because of the background information and all the comics.

This was just returned to the library. So for now, I'm done with it. The story is pretty weird. I traded it for a different book. I'll look for it someday.

I read so many of these books. I'm loving the back stories.

It's hard to put down. Sad and Moving. And a piece of history told in a new way.

This book is strange. The only thing driving me forward right now is the mystery into this supposed missing girl. Those clues are creepy: why is 13 so important? And what's the purpose of this island? Doesn't seem right.

I like reading about good food other people experience and this is addicting.

I'm starting to get into this story and I'm glad I didn't give up on Frank Peretti, one of my favorite authors, as I continued to be mytstified by this very different book.

So far, this book has been interesting. I like it.

This has to be the strangest book Frank Peretti wrote, which seems to be why I am enchanted by parts of it. I'm trying to figure out the characters who can be quite puzzling in this different world.

I'm enjoying the essays in this book because people are sharing their perspectives on life from books. It's a reminder that every person has a story to tell and that some of life's greatest lessons can come from books. I've found that the books I connect with the most are the ones that made me cry, laugh, smile or think because I'm reminded of my experiences that have helped me grow on my journey.

This part of the book is depressing and I'm hoping things will change around soon. Otherwise it's been a pretty quick read. I really feel for Andy right now.

So far, Aria's story is my favorite.
