I bought the audiobook as a single recording of the trilogy because it was literally like $3 but that progress being in the single digits is not encouraging. I’m a bit surprised that no one has died yet. I suppose I have around 40 hours left where that could happen though. Not that I’m particularly attached to any of these characters (might need to recant this later)

I don’t really understand the lukewarm reaction that readers seem to have towards this book on Goodreads. Is it a lot more unrestrained than Liu’s voice at the beginning of 3 Body Trilogy? Sure, but Liu also gets kinda unhinged in Death’s End. I honestly think this book adds a lot to the main series. Irregardless of what detractors may decry.

If I went to Mars, I would probably also be the one that gets impaled by an antenna. And that would likely be the end of the similarities between Mark Watney and me.
