The state of healthcare is a systems level failure

I've been reading this book for longer than I care to admit, also need to finish this one. Unlike the other healthcare-humanity intersectional book I'm reading, this one is very much an extended narrative interspersed with background info so reading it in a shorter period would have been in my better interest. I literally took it on two camping trips a year apart and made 0 pages progress between those incidents.

I started this audiobook in March, each chapter is somewhat self-contained though so I think my slow approach isn't massively detrimental. Healthcare in the US is crazy

This book is a behemoth but I love the ideas and Liu's writing style. Keeping all the surnames straight in the audiobook is a bit of a challenge though, maybe I need to scribble a dramatis personae down. On that note, I feel like there should be a website where you can search up a book/movie character and your current chapter/episode and it tells you what they've been up to, with no spoilers, as wikis might do.

DNF'd because I finished surgery :)
