What even is this book lol it just keeps going… everywhere and nowhere

I need this book to make up its mind what it wants to be. Just when I think I get where the plot is going and what its goal is a whole new story starts between the chunks of history lol. It’s like Rin is just watching a series of crazy things happening around her and occasionally being over powered in it all.
