Well, this certainly has some promise!

Still enjoying it, but it seems to be wallowing a little in the middle. At the start I thought it would be up there with The Essex Serpent, but it feels like it’s lost it’s way. Still twenty-two percent to go - there’s hope of a last minute revival!

Holy carp! (A poor piscine reference to the koi on the cover 😉) if this carries on the way it’s going, it could be right up there with The Essex Serpent (and that’s saying something!)

More research into late 1930s language for my current project! Enjoyable reading so far.

A light, enjoyable, easy read so far. Still waiting for some of that ‘old world’ tech to show up.

After a few weeks of reading the classics (which I’m starting to think are ‘not really for me’), this is like a breath of fresh air. So, yeah, pretty good so far ;)
