This is exactly how audiobooks should be. Casting the movie “Gordie” (Wil Wheaton) to narrate this story, “told” by his film character is a fantastic way to experience this story again, and in a whole new way.

Hard to Get Through

Three stars, almost entirely because of the audiobook performance. A Game of Thrones itself is a solid four.

Roy Dotrice struggles here: too many similar voices, repeated mispronunciations (Sansa), and character voices bleeding into narration, which gets confusing.

This is the furthest I’ve made it—but also my sixth attempt. If this fails, I’m done with this in audio.
