I read this in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. It saddens me, however, to read about how horrible people can be to each other. Although fiction, the novelette is based on a real life incident. I found the story very disturbing yet compelling. The bravery of the main character is an inspiration to aid those who are helpless and downtrodden.

Blah. I quit half way though this audible novel. The narration is fine, but the story isn't interesting enough to keep going. I can't understand why the main character's friend puts up with her, and when she does, she sounds like an infomercial. She doesn't sound believable, and neither does their friendship. There's too many wonderful books out there to keep wasting my time with this. Disappointing. :/
