This tiny book keeps calling me dumb. Words I looked up this go-around:

I am not even halfway through this and I am in awe of how this writer's natural vocabulary rests at the edges of my understanding of English. Here are the words I had to look up:

This book is messing me up, I feel very exposed in a way that only American mothers would understand.

I promised my daughter I'd listen to the series because she loves it so much.

I stand by my previous statements.

I feel like people gave me the side-eye when I read Fourth Wing, but this is truly the horniest book I've ever encountered. These two weirdos are so horny, I'm CONCERNED.

I probably should have read the description first and not just downloaded it on a recommendation because I'm having an INTERESTING commute with this audiobook.

I'm scared that I'm going to do that thing I do sometimes with books, where all I want to do is read and I ignore everything else.

I'm guessing this means a bunch of stuff is about to happen all at once because this has been a whole lot of nothing so far

I can do this book in bite sized chunks, it feels very possible and I'm not always in the mood to explore that world.

I grabbed this on a whim from the library. I can't lie, I did not really look at it too hard and maybe I should have because this book is so slow and I can't even speed up the narrators because it's an audiobook *SOBS*
