slow and a bit boring from 25-50% but picked up by 75%, and it’s getting interesting finally

it’s hard to believe i’m over halfway through bc it feels like im reading the same story loop over and over with no progress in the plot: banter, tension, deep romantic moment, distancing, make-up, repeat. we’ve gone through this at least 5 times, and i’m BORED.

has been a very enjoyable, fast-paced, action-packed read, but oh my LORD jenna is one of the most annoying, arrogant, presumptious protagonists i've ever had the displeasure of listening to

someone plz tell me if jonathan becomes more likable or at the very least a better person bc right now he is an unredeemable dickhead and even though i didn't adore the mains of love, hate, & clickbait at first clay became likable very quickly and thom was a self-aware asshole who knew he was a bad person. i am now 30% thru this book, however, and jonathan is still an awful person with 0 self-awareness. ick.
