This book is a trauma porn shit show. The graphic descriptions are unnecessary and YOU DONT NEED TO HAVE THIS MANY TO DRIVE YOUR POINT HOME.
I don't think she is handling these topics with the sensibility she should, trauma is not just a plot device.
