Is it a requirement for this author to write the most irritating fmc in every single book she writes? Ugh. Both Eve and Addie are just insufferable. Barf.

Perfectly handsome boys who set her heart ablaze after 24 hours of meeting and who CONSTANTLY say her full name when they speak to her. Three of my biggest annoyances about YA. So aggravating! People don’t talk like that!

I really don’t want this series to end!

I don’t think I like the writing style here. It’s... disjointed.

Interesting concept, but the insta love really aggravated me. The ending was great though!

I wish the world she writes was real.

Slightly concerned... I’m finding that there is a really
cool story in here but it’s covered up by TONS of extra words. Hoping things change... I’ll give it two more chapters.

I want to like this... But it reads oddly.

She’s talking about a plague coming for her family and he responds with how he’s happy she left and they are together. Seriously? What is this? He’s gross.

Things are moving VERY FAST in this book. Not even halfway and she went from an untrained child to almost the most important person at a hospital. All because she read books? Weird.

I don’t know why I am get so surprised and frustrated at a YA book that drags out all the cliches from the start, yet here I am again.

Not really feeling this book... Seems to drag.

Anna is such a garbage person.

This feels like a love letter to depression and it makes me weirdly uncomfortable.

1) Evangeline is always my favorite 2) I can’t STAND how everyone calls people by their first and last name all the time, even in casual conversation 3) The battle scenes always make up for any eye-rolling parts of the book

Already annoyed that I have no idea what is going on. Why do books start like this?! With no hint to how the last book ended!!

Not even 50 pages in and I am soooo excited about this book!!

This whole story makes me roll my eyes... Abby is this epic woman suddenly, able to withstand prison torture and standing up to “the law” but couldn’t stand up to her husband for cheating on her. She was a stay at home mom, miserable and sad except for her friends, yet now she’s a smart ass who excels in prison? Right...

Abbey is seriously the dumbest main character ever.

This book is taking me forever to read... It is so HEAVY! I have to take a day or two to process everything I’ve read after each chapter!

This book is so horribly sad...

Sarah Winnemucca...That was the hardest chapter as of yet. I learned a lot and felt awful about it.

How is each chapter more intriguing than the last?! I love it! I have a list of things I want to research on my own now, but most notably John Frémont!!
