100 pages in and this is problematic as F*CK! I think I have outgrown Abbi Glines; or, maybe, the story is just trash. I may have to throw this back on the TBR pile and pick it up after I finish a few other books.

Katy, honey, why does Penny keep calling Luke (who has caramel skin) a thug? I wasn't a fan of her calling him a thug when I assumed he was white, but now I'm all the way not here for it.

Not mention, Penny is a 25 year woman who says things like "I didn't think boys made passes at girls who wear glasses!" Maybe I am too old for this NA sh*t, because I can't with Penny.

The Civil War is my jam (history was one of my undergrad majors) and TSJ is my one of my favs from the era (along with Sherman, Scott and Lee).

I have had this book on my TBR shelf for over 2 years and this is the summer of clearing that shelf since it is full of YA books that, at some point, Amazon enticed me to buy .... So far, it's ok...
