I had to pause my audiobook at the height of the drama and I'm mad about it.

Not my usual thing, but I'm enjoying it a lot. This book kind of feels like a hug.

I stand corrected. And adult character came in and corrected the ableist and discriminatory terms and thoughts. Despite me knowing that this adult character is terrible as a human, I'm glad that's well explained.

Rereading this as an adult in 2024 means acknowledging that a lot of the language, especially to start, is very ableist and gaslighty. But, reading this as someone who has reread the series about fifteen times, this is great!
