Library loaned book so pausing for now. Aoyoma-san comes across as extremely gluttonous, never known struggle and naive but not unlikeable? Just got to the bit where they’ve had a Western meal and she’s trying to get Chi-san to divulge her background and upbringing more because she’s very well spoken/knowledgable but she keeps evading the questions.

Always find Japanese converted to English a really interesting writing style. It’s very “tell it like it is” yet quaint.

Damn this is so good so far. I always knew, but didn’t know know until this book how important my female friendships are.
