This series is getting tedious

Well I have a good guess now about how the book ends. I hope I'm wrong because it's way too soon to give that away.

This book is so long!
However, I'm glad the direction the story has taken. I dread Feyre's return to the Spring court again.

I don't trust Ianthe

The fact that she can't figure out this riddle means we have a serious problem.

It took this long for something interesting to happen? going for the Graceling strategy I see...

Feyre thinks she's Katniss Everdeen and yet also a humble naive kitten. Climbs trees, skins wolves and then "marvels a bit at [her] own audacity." I'm sensing some inconsistency here.

Oh lookie, she's adopted. Cue obsessive internal monologue about being betrayed by those she thought loved her.

Foreshadowing prediction: The repeated references to how much Tika's appearance differs from her family's must mean that she's not actually related to them and she has no idea of this.

J.K. Rowling gets away with this kind of thing in HP book 6 because you're already invested in the series but here... not so much.

Why on earth does this YA book start out with a torture scene? I get that's it technically the prologue and not the start of the book, but it's still the first thing I read. And although the creature being tortured is a tree-like-being and not human, I couldn't help but imagine a baby Groot being abused. I regret starting this book over breakfast because that's not how I wanted to start my day.

I'm enjoying the story so far. It's moving at a good pace so I'm not getting bored. the foreshadowing is a bit strong, so while the plot twists have been good quality (interesting and logically sound) they weren't surprising because I already suspected them.
