yeah i’m not super thrilled with this book. it’s pretty obvious that it’s a male author writing a female. the dialogue is not great or believable, and the pacing is atrocious. also stop with the witty names for ships and then literally saying “the extenuating circumstances” 75x + per chapter. ugh

i am very cautious for this one……. i enjoyed the first Eragon book when i was younger, but could hardly finish the rest of the series. giving Paolini another shot but not hoping for too much. based on other reviews and his previous books, i am worried about pacing and overall writing. we will see
