I can tell she was watching Avatar Last Airbender while she wrote this. On Chapter 8 and the main character, who admittedly is a bit of a Mary Sue, has learnt the avatar state.

Questioning my taste in books as I'm really enjoying it despite the 3.6 rating of it here.

Time to go back to my comfort zone: mundane Japanese fiction

Re-reading this and possibly the second book before the third. Absolutely loved this book and hopefully reading it back-to-back with the second one would make me enjoy the latter more.

Dropped this book a while ago but downloaded it on my kindle to start again.

So far, it's a book revolving around European men, all of whom have some form of shared illness, with a lot of philosophy, misogyny and a lot of dense conversations. Difficult read, in terms of text and story, but I'm hoping there's a payoff eventually. There's been 2 "horror" related tense moments that haven't led to anything. I'm hoping the payoff at the end is worth it.

Not enjoying it so far and more dense/tricky to read than the books I normally read. Obviously a skill issue so I'll be resilient and try and finish it
