I may not finish this one

The lack of punctuation is driving me crazy.

So far, not good.

Nah. I can’t finish this. Page 258 and I’m bailing.

Really weird and difficult to read, but there is something I’m enjoying here. Maybe because it feels Mitchellesque to me.

I’m faltering. Not event half way through and although I am enjoying the writing I’m not sure I’m as invested in finishing this as when I started out.

Page 440. I dont care what happens to Cormac. This story had a good start, but with about 200 pages to go time is compressing and every page seem to be a list of what happened rather than a story.

This is taking me Forever

First 10 pages and I was hooked!

Very detailed research on the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder, right down to who were the other noted people that lived two towns away and what they were doing at that point in time. So I think it’s more historical research than a biography. So far I think Fraser’s purpose is to show that Wilder’s life was vastly more of a struggle than is reflected in her own autobiographical works.

This is a bit weird. It appears to be a series of short stories based on the premise of the book. Have only read one so far.

If you have ever read Anthony Maria’s work, you may be like me and once you have finished, you go back and reread immediately.
