It’s weird having gone from “Lovesickness” for over half of the book to this.

“Magami Nanakuse”

The only part I liked was the body horror, beyond that this has officially become my least favorite story of any of Junji Ito’s work.

I’m not even done with this chapter and I’m mostly weirded out rather than scared. 😟

“Blackbird”

This was interesting with time travel and cannibalism.

And back to our regularly scheduled horror with “Dissection-Chan”.

“The Gentle Good bye”

This one wasn’t even scary, just really sad and slightly existential. Didn’t know that Junji Ito could do that.

That 1st story was quick.

The final meet up!

It’s about to be trouble soon!

Got a bomb dropped on us

An unexpected for me to see.

So there’s a possibility that the Beautiful Boy at the Crossroads is Midori’s Aunt’s lover’s son from way back when.

Was Midori’s aunt doomed no matter what? Can’t help but feel like it was all lost from the start, even for Ryusuke and Midori.

This one’s really deep, I’m liking it so far.

This chapter felt more sad than anything.

Interesting story, didn’t expect it to lead the way that it did.

“The Strange Tale of the Tunnel” has been the best one so far in both story and art!

After reading the famous “Slug Girl” story I can’t help but get the feeling that Ito’s early works feel more like Goosebumps books more than anything, not saying that’s a bad thing but it makes me realize that he hasn’t always done his intense and deeply detailed art or storylines.

Definitely the weakest story so far but anything else could beat it out for the spot considering that this book looks like it’s made up of mostly older works of Junji Ito.
