Struggling to get through this one...

Oh my god this book is just as boring as I remember it being. Why was this ever written? It reliably puts me to sleep every time I try to read it.

Okay no one told me that the dog started out sweet and adorable. I don't think I can handle this one. It's like Old Yeller. I can't put myself through that heartbreak.

This was required reading for a course I took in college and oddly enough one of the few required readings I didn't get through. I got to about page 30 and decided it was not worth it.

I finally decided to try it again and I see why I gave up. It is dryyyy. But also I'm almost glad I'm reading it now instead of then. Life experience y'all.
