While I was reading, Amy Tan did pop up in my head when Peter talks about the semi famous author. Then I come to goodreads to find someone else saying that it was a burn towards Amy Tan and my head went, “! Oh I was right,” even though I’ve yet to read a book of her’s. Someone else said that these stories get depressing and the mood IS sad.
