Another great twisted ending.

After seeing the Katie Couric interview I decided to buy this book on audible. I just got to a point where she says “she is now a mother of two”. I found this to totally defeat everything as a bereaved mother myself. I will always be a mother of three after losing my son to leukemia. I could have written this book there is nothing in it that I feel is helpful.

Amazing book about a culture I really didn’t know much about. The women were so abused for no reason and boys were the most important thing.

I’m hating the mother in this book it’s hard to even read. I had no idea this was a memoir and at the end I’m going to research the writer.

Just okay

Excellent book taking place in the Blue Ridge Mountains about the injustice of sterilization of what they called feeble minded women. So very sad.
