Currently reconsidering my early take that the writing style isn’t for me. Now debating whether the writing is not my style, or if it’s actually a brilliant author who is writing extremely convincingly from the somewhat-naive-&-basic main character’s perspective.

I’m assuming it’s the former, but holding out hope.
