I read this book while visiting Madrid and staying in the Cheucha. Some powerful moments in this book take place in this gay barrio in Madrid. I highly recommend reading a book about your trip to have a deeper insight into the lives of others walking the same streets.

I enjoy walking besides the characters in this series! I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This book was so much fun to read - I struggled to put it down. A quick , light hearted book about high school. Go read it !

I’m part of a book club and had proposed this book several times. I’m so grateful I chose to read this book. Her prose is beautiful- so many moments I wish I could have noted and shared in this post. I had no idea of the format of short thoughts, stories, mixed into the history of same sex abuse in relationships. Beautifully written and highly encourage.

The story highlighted the challenges of recovery and the impact on the family. The family dynamics around the disease of addiction. The diversity within the Latino population and the prejudice that exists within their community. A powerful full-circle story. A quick read that I recommend for any interested in immigration policy and the impact on families.

Loving the book so far, Rushdie’s text is beautifully written.
