daamn. im mean i have been waiting for his villain arc but daamn keris. all in the name of love. i like him still. he really had no purpose, no other motivation but with zarrah huh—which i both love and not.

its funny how keris thinks hes this master strategist rightnow but really, the cunning one is auntie coralyn—easily the mvp of this plan. while zarrahs factors wasnt in the plan, shes the one whos telling half truths to every party.

looking back there were ways to have prevented what happened, other than arens decision to be lesser formal in his letter, zarrahs regretful decision to conceed to her cousins decision lest she disobeys her queen, keris convincing asters daughter to let the party in the bridge, it all aligned and the fall of the bridge kingdome was inevitable.

—that it was over before i get to soak in the worldbuilding, the plot, the romance—so i intend to go back and forth with the previous two books in accordance to the guide.

and by this first 3 chapters, oh boy did I know what was coming and keris had the gal to make out. and zarrah, my girl, no i understand the regretful attitude towards aren.

by this book i swear upon myself to relish this series and not read it in one sitting if I can. and update here so i have something to go back to, because this series is something i will reread.

i did liked keris and zarrah in the traitor queen, and is excited to see their dynamic here. this time im going back and forth with the previous books because i just finished those too in a flash—

ugh, effing finally Hunt x Bryce ship are on sail. But Im as nervous as Hunt with their envolvement with rebels, esp Ruhn—this cant end well. and I feel for Hunt when he recalls his past every time. I spoiled myself so I have an idea who agent daybright is, still a shock tho, with what we know of her so far based on Hunt, how the f did she switched sides. idrc about cormac honestly as long as ruhn is safe.

what do i have to say? when i just gobbled everythibg this book could give. I love love their budding friendship, oh went passed budding now to full blown holding hands-comforting-eye-talking-ship now. im at this ship for now, but knowing sjm with her character dynamics, we will never know until the last book.

and Ruhn, im liking him. Im hoping he and bryce would make up whatever it is they fought over before cause, its obvious he cares for her as his little sister (or is that just a fae male instinct). and what do you mean the royal bloodline ends with him—suck it up Autumn King. This Chosen one, Starborn something of theres, okay Im eating it.

okay, we had a time skip of two years, our Bryce hardly moved on from what happened—i feel for her everytime she had flash backs. Hunt still has this magnetic pull with if that is not attraction then idk what it is. I think Ill like Isaiah, Micah not so much (whatever it is that he makes Bryce feel so sexual maybe he just brings out others desires idek). The dread of Sandriel coming is growing, feel bad for Hunt

welp i knew that death was coming. it was all too comfortable, something needs to happen for the story to run. and all this added characters—the angels Isaiah and Hunt, im eyeing you Hunt, he seems to 'care' about bryce the moment he saw her. i dont know there something tender about his every move towards her; the cousin Ruhn? more like step brother, nonchalanly telling us, shes the Autumn Kings illegitimate daughter

hoping this would get me out of my reading slump. been a while since ive read sjm book, since acosf, and so far, im still adjusting to the terms and this urban fantasy setting. Love the concept tho, and would recommend Cassandra Clare books to those who havent read them but loved this one. I love this obviously tight friendship Bryce and Danika have—almost thought they were more than friends, well they are family.

I cant with Eli. He's the simpest of all the simps 😆 and I'm so glaad that Rue is the same!

It was a pleasant surprise when I saw Eli's POV, i dont see that in romance novels i read. BUT TO READ THAT TWO CHAPTERS OF HIM JUST DOWN BAD FOR OUR GIRL 😆 all the while he's figuring out her name, my word, now i like him.

i love the world building honestly. its what kept me reading till now. i want to know more about the white pantheon, do the gods have their different race maybe? like nyaxia. Nyaxia's storg tho, lowkey i want to read that story. even vincent's—this man, hes just ruthless and cruel, im just glad that we now see him for who he really is.

curious about this one. i didnt really want to read this at first because i dont like vampire themed books. but the lore got me interested. i just dont know if it will hold for the rest of the series.

am not feeling this. but will go on. maybe since im still at the beginning chapters. this feels so long. cant quite grasp the world yet. the dual pov made me stay.

too early, but ill put this aside muna. the pacing is slow for me, i really can't get into it. maybe ill get back to this in the future.

simorgh is so wonderful. the story of zaal was to tragic and epic.

on cyrus, my, what can i say. is he in some time confusion that after that feat with iblees, hes thought of alizeh as his loving wife--by the sound of hes endearment. or hes just really dreaming. anyway, im just intrigued of his story. i need to know moore!

alizeh is so lovely, i dont blame these men falling for her.

im loving cyrus and alizehs conversation, i feel like shes healing something as shes with him. i also appreciate kamrans pov, since we get to see how, little by little hes able to realize his misconceptions-- which were understandable until it became worse+

dang it. starting where we left off and already breaking my heart for kamran. he dis nothing wrong. his misunderstandings of the situation makes sense. its a villain arc forming right here, and im here for it.

dang! it ends there? of course not, ill read the next book 🤣
