Was confident I would like another Reynolds book after loving House of Suns and I'm really into this one so far. Nice mix of excitement/good pacing, interesting characters, and engaging plot setup.

This is a banger so far. I see why they made it into a movie.

Gripping storytelling from the very first page

Only 15% in and already I'm shown that Hemingway is an excellent prose writer. Which makes his choice to write Old Man and The Sea the way he did baffling.

Got this for cheap during an audible sale. History presented in a narrative style (rather than endless lists of names and dates) is my favorite. Also ties in the topics covered to modern society. Excellent so far.

I don't hate it, but I have a suspicion that the plot and characters are going to be stuck in a holding pattern of nothing happening for the next 200 pages

I finished the new part of FF7's remake two months ago and I'm still obsessed with the world and it's characters. Time to see what the novels have to offer.

There is going to be massive hype this year with book 5 coming out so it seemed like a good time to try out the series

This has been so entertaining, though I have to try very hard to not imagine Odin, Thor, and Loki as their Marvel movie actors

Started listening to this on a whim and now I'm suddenly 40% in. Captivating and also so believably written that it is terrifying.

Story has gone completely off the rails at this point, and I am all in.

This seemed pretty straightforward (for a Wolfe book), then page 99 hit. Oh My.

The characters make this interesting enough to keep going but it won't be anywhere near my favorites from King

The ending of Volume 1 was incredible. The blow-by-blow description of the Battle of Waterloo less so, I admit that I massively sped up the audio book and only half paid attention to that section.
