If you keep in mind this is a plot driven book, I think you’ll find the book more enjoyable and thought provoking. I think in general this genre is suppose to be more about the plot and ideas it is creating than about the characters. The characters can add depth to the stories but in general, this book was more enjoyable than I thought, in a different and surprisingly dark way than the other two in the series
