lot introduced, interested to see where it all goes

realized someone has a hold on this after me so i gotta long in to finish this before it has to be returned

but im enjoying it! it's lowkey gothic and i cant wait to see how all these people connect with this house/apothecary and Bri

it's nice so far! im excited to get to the house more than anything

everything is surface level with no real deeper exploration of feelings besides "i trust these two" and "i love her." why? who cares

Good Deeds and Their Magical Punishments by Hannah Nicole Maehrer - 2.5 stars, had good potential, but the characters mainly talked off page and then had sex

i think its just overall hard to convince me of a whole romance in like 20-30 pages, plus add fantasy world building

San’t Marten’s Book of Mild Melancholy by A.G. Slatter - 3 stars. the worldbuilding vibes were good, but the actual romance & secondary plot was barebones/fine

Slay the Princess, Save the Dragon by A. C. Wise - feels pretty out of place as it's basically a YA contemporary, rushed hate to love, but add a dragon in the background

Murderbot is so mad at its not-friend, I love it so much

Second Class Magic by Kamilah Cole- 3.25 stars, Better academic rivals than the prev academic rivals one, i just wanted more

Bamboo, ink, paper, clay - Eliza Chan - 3.5 stars, I do feel the emotional/personal arc got sorted quickly but it was good overall

But will something happen?

It's thankfully gotten a little more palatable with only brief moments of nonsense from Sasha's mind

but will there be more of a plot than the fake relationships Sasha has made up? who knows

this is making me want to reread the 2nd book

im not giving up yet, which feels impressive

Until December by Kelly Andrew - 2.75 stars? Unsure. Academic rivals is hard for me because i need to believe they hate each other but will eventually get there. i think i just dont like obsession as the main part of attraction, which most academic rivals to lovers relies on.
