im just glad that this is very readable and keeping my attention. i have some theories of how these two will continue to spiral but im curious to see how they fully fall apart

feeling a little closer to the first two books and Chih collects differing accounts of recent history

Very readable, but I'll admit I'm currently more interested in Beatrice Donahue and her contemporaries than the main characters deciphering her manuscript

oh the art is so pretty

Took a while before getting back into this book, but I’m glad more stuff is happening now!

I'll be honest, I'm not liking either side of this love triangle

I'd also lone for a key part of the synopsis to properly enter the story...

I fear I've hit a block with this book. I dont hate it!! but i think im realizing what i liked in the first book isnt in this one

Dead Owls might be joining my favorites of the collection

So the murder has happened, does that mean the ghosts will be more apparent?

trying not to be too critical becsause i am enjoying this overall... but they did just say they werent gonna do something then a couple pages later, did it

Slowly making my way through but still enjoying

My faves so far are maybe Navajos Don’t Wear Elk Teeth and Snakes are Born in the Dark

Very happy I decided to reread the first book bc I would’ve been so lost wrt Julian’s chosen family

Also I’m a little sad this is taking place just weeks after the first book. I was really ready for this to be a year or more after the first book and for me to cry at Yads being on T or something similar

rereading in preparation for the sequel! its fun seeing what i have or havent remembered

woof, this book got heavy with grief real quick

a little exposition heavy dialogue, but im interested in the start!

nothing is really gripping me, but i can appreciate the whole conceit of the novel

oh theyre both in the wrong... but yuki, you know you need to plan more in advance for a cross-country move. pump the brakes, let her breathe, but also come on grace

Did I… miss the memo where grace traveling is more of a big deal? Cause I read it as a vacation and now this person has rolled up accusing her of abandoning them with their own problems??

I’ve been meaning to read this book for 5 years, but maybe it was for the best I waited so I could read this also as a recently post-graduate with no job prospects and a lot of anxiety, lol

these poor kids really gave themselves the task of solving ableism huh

the next generation's storyline might be my favorite compared to the one usually adapted?

I know everyone is haunted by the actions of others… but just one unique name for the next generation of characters, please I beg

i think its meant to be mixed media, but its not really written as such, except for the rare line that implies these are meant to be written diaries by the characters

still enjoying it, still creeped out
