A light read, but I loved it. Are you a "neato" or a "scruffy"? Files or piles? Why is conversation, not algorithm the way to love? What is the accidental origin of Makerspace? Which three types of knowledge are still useful in the 21C? love that the book ended with risky play, which is a powerful way to gain the skills, concepts, self awareness, and community connections needed to deal with a messy world.

It was very hard to read this, having a family member so similar to the protagonist. I would recommend this book because of the humanity with which the author speaks for Alice, with which many people might identify, even if they do not know someone with the disease. It's honest, not plowing, and important to people who slowly transform in such a way that we rarely hear their stories.
