The problem with this type of book is probably that it draws readers who are already living in a similar fashion, so her rules seem extremely loose to me. She’s still allowed to purchase pretty much anything she wants, outside of clothes, books, home knickknacks and takeout coffee. Even then, she has an approved shopping list that’s pretty generous. Also she changes the rules halfway through
