I really appreciate the depth the notes at the back go into the context of the culture and writing of the plays, though it is better to read them after finishing as they spoil the plot points

Because the last book I read mentioned this story I wanted to read it

The chapter titles are kinda funny but it's a bit of a slog to get through :/
When the description said meticulously detailed backdrop it didn't lie

When I first got it I mistook it for fiction mystery and then noticed its true crime, but really it kind of reads as half fiction anyway.
There's a weird aggrandizing tone that's kinda off putting. Just not the kind of writing I prefer for true crime
