Don't be fooled by me taking a long time with this, I'm way too tired to read these days and anytime I do, I'm mad when I fall asleep because this is really, really good stuff.

As someone who is only afraid of the holy trinity of "fuck no" animals: goat, geese and gators; this sounds terrifying and I would certainly not like to be a gnome in this case, even if i do identify as short and an asshole, occasionally.

Finished Book 3 last night, can't remember the last time i immediately picked up the next book in a series.

This is good stuff.

I am having so much fun with this. It's the perfect level of unhinged.

And we're back to the real thing, haha

Okaaaaay, i think I'm on the hook now. Also, Mordecai is my spirit animal atm. 😂

This is going to be the new Red Rising - when you ask a random man if they read, they exlaim yes!! and will recommend you this book.

Just ... an observation. Don't read any judgement into this.

This book hooked me exactly as hard as I expected it to.
The last time I had a feeling exactly like this was reading the live and let drood series back in my teens and I'm fully loving the experience.

Dieser Satz fühlt sich so aktuell an, wenn man bedenkt, wie viele Wähler*innen denken, die AfD meine sie doch nicht - dabei sind es genau diese Personen, die die Rechtsextremen meinen und von deren Stimmen sie dennoch profitieren.

I had FOMO.

Recently saw a review on here for this book that I so deeply disagreed with, I had to unfriend the person reviewing. It really is that deep, friends.

I've been so hesitant lately to jump into a new fantasy series and then this was recommended to me again and i finally caved. How lovely that i did, this is stunning so far. And it also is going to absolutely shatter me, I'm afraid.

The way I inhale these books in general, but I do like Beau and especially Bailey with her no-filter, just communicate way of doing this so far a lot more than i did other characters in the series.

Honestly, so far I wanna shake the protagonist awake and save him from the "love" he takes, despite it being toxic af.
If this feeling persists, this might be one of the most uncomfortable reads of 2025 for me. Maybe ever.

This is making me very uncomfortable so far.

See, every once in a while I get this dark romance itch and read all those books back to back and none of them really get it right.
This had 5 eyerolls so far and I've only been reading one morning. Please, authors, characters CAN connect with each other without being blood related, ffs.

Do I have any Dark Romance reading mutuals on here? If so, would you be so kind to recommend any current releases you enjoyed?

This book gave me a "close the book, put it down, stare into the void to grasp what just happened" moment and I haven't had one of these in soooo long.
