I had FOMO.

Recently saw a review on here for this book that I so deeply disagreed with, I had to unfriend the person reviewing. It really is that deep, friends.

I've been so hesitant lately to jump into a new fantasy series and then this was recommended to me again and i finally caved. How lovely that i did, this is stunning so far. And it also is going to absolutely shatter me, I'm afraid.

The way I inhale these books in general, but I do like Beau and especially Bailey with her no-filter, just communicate way of doing this so far a lot more than i did other characters in the series.

Honestly, so far I wanna shake the protagonist awake and save him from the "love" he takes, despite it being toxic af.
If this feeling persists, this might be one of the most uncomfortable reads of 2025 for me. Maybe ever.

This is making me very uncomfortable so far.

See, every once in a while I get this dark romance itch and read all those books back to back and none of them really get it right.
This had 5 eyerolls so far and I've only been reading one morning. Please, authors, characters CAN connect with each other without being blood related, ffs.

Do I have any Dark Romance reading mutuals on here? If so, would you be so kind to recommend any current releases you enjoyed?

This book gave me a "close the book, put it down, stare into the void to grasp what just happened" moment and I haven't had one of these in soooo long.

Funnily enough, so far i've gotten through nights but not this book.

I just know, that I liked the book last time and i didn't particularly liked the ending. Is it fair to just leave it at this? haha

I’m in dire need of some romance recommendations – hard “no”s are pregnancy, infidelity and I can do without miscommunication, but that would be okay. Otherwise, hit me with the cutesy, spicy or properly dark stuff – I don’t mind!
Please help a girl out, I’m a bit lost in the newer releases.

This is still a good book, I just keep getting sidetracked.

Really random thought; currently working on a thesis about recommender systems and one of the datasets I work with is an old extraction from goodreads. In case you might wonder, there once was a user (about 15 years ago) who had 35.000 interactions (aka ratings) with books solely of the romance genre.

Go buy that book, you've still got a lot to read, love. :)

I read this once, but now it's my nightly routine to listen to this.

Turns out it doesn't get better, but more cringey.

Someone please be honest with me - does this get better? So far I've been laughing a lot but not the "haha, this book is funny" kind of way ...

If you've never sent your best friend a video of you bawling your eyes out because of a book they recommended, you need to find better friends to get better recommendations.

Here's to all those who recommend books by saying "this is going to hurt you, you're gonna love it!" - you're the best.
