Loving it.

My grief upon losing Dad is still too raw for me to be able to cope with continuing with this book. Maybe one day I’ll be able to return to it but not now.

Loving it so far - great story and very well written. Give me butter!

Chapter 9

Very underwhelmed with shallow characters. Couldn’t care less what happened to Dominica or whatever her name was.

Fabulous. A page turner. A thriller written as a gentle narrative but impossible to put down. A tragic accident and one wonders what one would do in the same circumstance. So brilliantly written.

What a racy book with clinical descriptions of bodily fluids; typical male bluntness. No point beating about the bush I suppose! The graphical facts detract from the story which is one morning. However the backdrop is post WW1 and the aftermath of lost menfolk. This is what makes it a very readable book. I read it in 2 hours!
