Okay, the story started lighthearted and funny, then swerved off into a horror story? I still love Shen Qingqui as our protagonist and viewpoint character, and overall the story is mostly still comedic, but it's starting to slide into darker territory from this point on.

Another great entry to a terrific series by Scalzi. I listened to it on Audible, narrated by Zachary Quinto, who does a fantastic job. Scalzi nails it again at putting together a tightly woven mystery in a fast-paced short story with funny, quippy dialogue. Highly recommend the Dispatcher series to any reader.
