Deb Horn is reading The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics
I just finished The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
This was the second time I read it in the last couple of months and. Have got to confess that it was even better this time.

Great story with lots of interesting characters, human and otherwise! In this final book of a LONG trilogy, I should have had a better grip on the cast of characters by writing a list of characters & why they mattered. Some names sounded very similar, & I was glad to have the eBook version to help figure it out!

Deb Horn is starting Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
The story is likely very good, but I am going to return it because I don’t like the narrator whose style ruined the experience for me.

Very enjoyable. light-hearted little book. Allan's adventures are entirely unpredictable and the story will has me laughing at the many unpredictable and astonishing situations he and his accomplices get into.

Are we nearly finished with the world's longest wedding celebration? With the convergence of so many characters, there's bound to be some trouble afoot.

It's fascinating to see the upcoming American Revolution develop as (most) colonists try to escape the long arm of the British Crown.

This volume lives up to the reputation established by the first two of this series. I am learning a lot about major historical events of the last century. Currently I'm in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which was terrifying when it happened, and also terrifying in these pages. Do you remember "duck and cover?"
