I thought I was setting myself up for disappointment after hyping this book up so much, freaking out every time the words "player, hunter, hacker, pawn" appeared, and setting my expectations up so high. Well, thankfully, I love it. Marie Lu was somehow able to weave everything I love into one story. I was also reminded of Summer Wars and Code Geass throughout.

Now that I'm in high school I don't have time to read anymore except for breaks. Anyway, very disappointing book. I couldn't help but cringe throughout. I don't understand why I rated the first two so high since this one isn't significantly worse than the others.

Regarding the plot and pacing, it's not as well done as the first book. The pacing can be quite slow in some parts, and the actual plot isn't as intriguing. Nonetheless, the character development is really well done. Ringer is now my favorite character. I also appreciate the deep, thought-provoking concepts Yancey introduces, develops, and elaborates on. I'm in love with the dialogue and the ending to Ringer's POV.

I didn't appreciate this book enough when I read it the first time. My only problem with it is the poorly done romance and Evan Walker himself. I don't particularly hate his character, but I don't like it either.

This is a whole lot better than I remembered it being.

It's been a while since I've read a book worthy of five stars. This even moved me to tears.

Time to start my summer reading book. Unfortunately, I have to write on the pages . . .

In actuality, this wasn't that good of a book, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. It was just something easy to read. Also, I'm not usually the type of person to care about these things, but I can't stand Peter. Never liked him. John is so much better.

I'm not feeling this one as much as the first.

Not bad, not bad. At least it's better than Heir of Fire. Despite being a longer book, it wasn't as boring and didn't drag out like Heir of Fire. Just a little disappointed with the outcome of the ending.

It's at times like these that I realize it's possible to hate Aelin even more than I already do.

Wow. That ending. It was amazing. Unfortunately, the rest of the book wasn't so great . . .

At this point, the only character I find enjoyable is Chaol. Celaena's now incredibly annoying, and Dorian is nothing special either.

That is absolutely disturbing. Then again I shouldn't even be surprised anymore.

Reading this just for the sake of finishing this series. I'm not enjoying it anymore. Honestly, I never really did. The only reason why I haven't discontinued this is because it differs from the anime.

I met Jenny Han today and got my copies of To All the Boys I've Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You signed. I'm excited to start this series!

Kady and Hanna are so similar they're basically the same people. Same with Ezra and Nik. Not that I don't like them, I was just hoping for some diversity with their personalities. This only takes a little away from the book. I don't feel like writing a full on review so...

Although I don't believe it to be true, it's still great to see these two authors incorporate something different into their writing. The concept is just mind-blowing.</spoiler>

I'm not sure what to think of this book. King's writing style is absolutely amazing, but he drags the story out too much. I haven't been fully intrigued by this book yet.
