Ahhhh, I’m desperately obsessed with these wretched, doomed characters.

These people are not in danger. Why is the pub scene 40 minutes long? There needs to be a battle or something ASAP.

Realising apart from the *cough* introduction to all seven gods scene and Carrion, I’ve forgotten most of the essential details (events, characters, rising action) (the antagonists) (the cliffhanger).

Seriously, this roller coaster is killing me.

This is written in such a hauntingly simple way, letting the horrors speak for themselves.

For someone who’s not into receiving lots of attention, Easton sure provokes Natalie a lot a lot a lot.

Is the cannibalism metaphorical?

The way she’s aligned this to the current monarchy is so deliciously close to the perceived reality that it’s almost creepy. I love it.

Ooooh this is good and bloody.

This is so not for me. There are so many metaphors being applied that are beyond unnecessary. It’s all this literary gravitas being laid over the top of the story that redirects the focus onto the people telling the story, rather than the story itself. And the audiobook version is stilted because the authors are not trained voice actors and it shows. This just isn’t landing for me.

I’ve figured out the ending but I’m enjoying the ride.

Well. It’s good. It’s lengthy. Does it need to be this lengthy to be good? Is the length proportionate to how good it is? I’m yet to be convinced.
