Was getting the feeling this one wasn’t for me, then read a review mentioning a (past) rape is a plot point. That’s not entertainment in my world, so hard pass and DNF.

This book is all over the place, but I think I’ll push through

This one seems like it could be cute. But I bounce hard off mother characters like this, and sone aspects of the writing lead me to have low confidence overall.

After sleeping on it, this is going to be a DNF for me :/

Love the flooded future setting, but considering DNF for the aggravating POV character. She’s an unreliable narrator but not in a fun way, and I don’t know if I want to spend much more time with her and her dumb decisions.

Not feeling it, despite the psychic cats

Getting a bad feeling about this one. I don’t have a lot of patience for adults who won’t use their words. I have even less patience for books whose plots would collapse with the barest shred of communication.

DNF due to bad vibes, and after looking into it i think this isn’t a book for me: SA, abusive relationships, animal death

Stomach turning. Pretty gross on the horror side, but I think all the SA-talk is going to make me DNF this one. I’ve read a lot of horror AND a lot about the Black Death; this one is not for me.

Surprise Michigan: “I am so desperate for temporary love, I’m actually considering the Michigan Women’s Music Festival.” “But you disdain Michigan!”

Not feeling this one. Despite being based on a real person and real events, all characters feel like cardboard cutouts. I dont think I want to spend any more time with the main character.
