Tony M. is finished with D-Day and the Liberation of France (Milestones in Modern World History)
I have finally read all of the book and it was incredible. The Golden Gem that I chose is, "The Operation was successful,it is now time to advance and push on towards Germany." I chose this Golden Gem because it signifies that by being able to establish a beachhead on France that the Allies are able to push the Nazis back to Germany. I also chose it because it is the one of the last lines of the book.

The book has gone further into the Invasion and how successful the invasions of the five beachheads had been. The Golden Gem that I chose reads, "There would be life after the war, D-Day is over. I chose this golden gem because it signifies how important this invasion was for the allies due to the fact that capturing the beaches would enable them to move further and eventually liberate France and push back the Nazis

The book that I'm reading is about the Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II. So far I am enjoying reading this book as I am captivated by a numerous amount of facts that were unknown to me before reading this book. The golden gem that I chose is,"We will accept nothing less than full victory!" This quote ties in with the book because it signifies how important the invasion was to the Allies.

The golden Gem that I chose was "I think I just saw a helicopter get hit." This golden gem signafices the start of the conflict of the story. Which is two black hawk helicopters getting shot down by Somolian helicopters. I also chose it more because it was the last line written in the last chapter that I read which added even more suspense to the end of the chapter

The Golden Gem that I chose was when the campgain is about to start and over the loudspeaker the codename for the start was Irene. And I chose the gem, "Fuckin' Irene". I chose this gem because it emphisizes the tension that the Rangers feel when they're about to call the code and it also shows their determination for the start of the battle.

Tony M. is finished with Scar Tissue
The book is still to continue since it was written in 2003 it leaves off when RHCP had recorded their latest cd at the time which was "By the Way". This book has given me a new outlook on life especially with all the experiences that Anthony Kiedis went trough I wish I would never have to go trough that.

The good part of the book is right now! The band has now gotten back together and have now produced their greatest album Californication. Tbe band played in one of the most controversional fashions in Woodstock 99 in which they played with nothing with tubesocks on their private parts. The band is now together and has now gone on their world tour.

I thought that the first half of the book was depressing but this part of the book is even worse! Everyone is struggling with their own demons whether it may be drugs or self inducing pride. The band is not the same and the guitarit John has recently quit because he did not want the band to have mainstream recognicition. Apart from all of this the book keeps on getting better and better.

The book just keeps on getting better amd better. It is now 1989 and the RHCP have been revived and have gone gold with their "Mother's Milk" album. The backstage stories that are told are very hilarious.

Well so far as i proggressed on this book i have really gotten into the story more in depthly. The story has now begun, it now shows the Red Hot Chilli Pepper's first few years as an actual known band. It still surprises me how these guys managed to survive for that long off of nothing

Well this book is amazing. I cannot believe what a wild and amazing childhood and teenage life Anthony Kiedies had. I found it astonishing that he started to do weed when he was 10 years old when his dad gave him his first high and also how he snorted cocaine when he was 12. This book is getting more amazing everytime I read it.

Well this har really been a treacherous war. The U.S has been committing the most casualties and winning most of the battles however Vietnam is supposely "winning" the war. Meanwhile back in the U.S many protest have started and a lot of people are becoming active in the cause to get American out of the war

I am currently very interersted in this book. I am very shocked in the outcome and the casualties that occured during many major battles during the war such as Hamburger Hill. I was also astonished how the Vietnamese attacked the U.S when they both agreed on a ceasefire.

This book has so far talked about the background history from the events from World War II that lead up to the events of the Vietnam War. It has also talked about the first few years of the War and some of the first battles and operations.
