Rereading this so I can dive into the sequel.

Why not start a 900 page fantasy while reading two other books?!

The tone has a kind of dreamlike quality that's making me feel lost. There's a lot of words that might mean what I think they mean, or something else, or both. And I'm like ??? But I'm interested in seeing where the plot and characters go!

In halfway through and I already want the next novel. I'm happy she's writing 4, though it'd be cool to get adaptations of all 6. I realize that might not fit in her universe though. Quality, not quantity!

Giving this YA book a chance because it has mermaids (sirens, technically) and I'm a slut for merfolk.

This is slower going than I thought. I want to know what happens, but I also find this book really easy to put down. Like how I put it down to waste time and write this update. Bleh.

Let's see if this lives up to my love of the trilogy.

The action has slowed for exposition that I simply don't care about. I'd like the pace to keep moving. Even though I don't mind the futuristic tone, I don't care for any of the characters so I'm not into the backstory.

I like the tone so far, but I've already heard about Lemon's "cherry-red" hair 3 times and it's starting to irk me.

It's already so atmospheric - I love it!

This is very dry so far. Not what I was expecting.

This book is unexpectedly fucked up. It's kinda funny but I have to read in small doses because it's very depressing and disturbing. I thought it was gonna be a pulpy crime novel. Unless this is what pulpy crime is???

I was on the fence about whether to read this book because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. I found it for cheap so here we go. I've barely started and I'm already confused by the tone. I'm worried this will be over my head.
