The Blue Cross by Chesterton was quite a fun and short read!

Well, Holmes and Watson are always great but this story..interesting animal.

Apologies to Dorothy Sayers story but wow I couldn’t care any less about it.

First story: The Murders in the Rue Morgue

I didn’t expect the gruesome details. And well, the resolution was quite unexpected.

I should have stopped reading at page 462 and just act like that’s the ending, because it sounded so nice. This book. Why.

Graces POV throws me off - it feels more like the author is consciously crafting her voice, and I’m hyper-aware that I’m reading something written rather than experiencing the character. Not sure why because Maddy’s POV chapters are super smooth to read for now.

Almost broke it off after chapter one because of that. Fingers crossed it gets better.
