Just found out this book was written in 1943 which shook me I just assumed it was written in 2007 or something it just had that vibe. It is sooo good but will have to put this on pause because I need to lock in and finish house of leaves FIRST as I don’t think I’ll be able to renew it. Having a library card it’s all about strategy….♟️

I forgot how much I hate multi-media formatted books lol

The short stories are kind of meh. My favourite so far is “Charles”! Will hopefully finish this book by the end of the week so I can read more books as I have organised to get a library card!! Yipppee!!

This book has been on my stack of shame for freaking yonks, but today I am going to change that. I am actually reading the orange penguins version. Which I only recently found out they don’t sell in America. Who knew?

I was reading this in my car when I was waiting to play tennis on the weekend.

Loving this book so far it’s one of those books that feel like a movie in your brain when you read it. It feels like a… like a book. It feels like, a real, like, go-to-the-library novel book.

I love anthologies. This makes me want to reread all the Paul Jennings books I read growing up.

This whole book feels like an episode of it’s always sunny in Philadelphia and yes Heathcliff is Dennis Reynolds.

This is literally perfect weather for reading. Imagine this - me in my windowsill, rain is pouring, I have both my book light AND a head torch. A tea in arms reach and fluffy socks on my feet. All ambient lighting in my room ON. I read 100 pages in a single day.

I will be picking up and putting down this book. It will serve as something I’ll have in my purse when I want to read on the go!
