This is giving "If He Had been with Me" and i hated that book

This is book club pick and it's going soooo slow. It's like if you mixed Powerless and the Serpents and wings of night. So it's better than powerless, but not good as TSATWON

I read the first one bc it was Halloween-y and witches. So I continued bc I assumed it would be the same, but it was notttttt

See, I know it's going to be good but so much is going on. I need a quick, cheesy book after this. How is it taking me this long to read 300 pages

This book is slowly killing me. I think the premise is good but I don't know the last time it took me 5 days to read only 250 pages. The build-up is so slow right now, but I need to know what's going to happen

If I had a nickel for every book I read this year about an undertaker's daughter, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but weird that it would happen twice

Holy crap. I love it, but its taking so long. It feels like I'm reading a completely different series ar this point form the beginning of book 1, and there is still a whole third book to go. Its still amazing, the world building is insane. And the character development?? So detailed. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster though

This one is going to lower my book count for the year, its taking forever, but it is definitely interesting.

I need exams to be over so I can binge this
