This book keeps me guessing and guessing. You think you are on to something and something else pops up. It is dual timeline but short chapters so you don't spend much time in either time line. It feels like progres...

I love going into books blind. Picked this one up for a book club reading through the US states. I a booked from page one. Mystery and magical realism.

Well, I was a lot further my first time through! I tried this as an audio book first. But then life got busy when we bought a new house..and my loan ran out. I also realized this book has so many layers and characters and dives back from the past to the present. I don't think I was able to follow it well. So I am back at the beginning reading it as a physical book. I love it!

Already in love. A book about letters back and forth? Count me in. :). Friends across the ocean. I love it. Reminds me so much of 84 Charring Cross Road.

"One Monday she was no longer there." A powerful and profound statement with just one sentence. It sums up grief and death. You forever measure your life as before and after. And remember the after..the day, always. This book makes me sad and laugh out loud. How on earth can that be? Frederik is magical.

I'm 10 pages in and I already like Ove. I'm so curious how this book will go. I am finally reading my first Fredkrik Backman. ❤️

I was hooked from page 1.

After some lighter reads. I was itching to dive into a historical fiction. I love Paris. I love book stores. And I love WWII fiction. That may seem morbid. I think..I just don't want their stories to be forgotten. I always learn more and my heart breaks at the tragedy. But I read these books...so someone remembers them. This book is dual time line...I'm already wondering how the stories intersect!

I picked this book for a book challenge. Books that take place in a bookstore. I do remember reading the description when I chose to borrow it from the library. I promptly forgot it. I'm barely into the book. I am hooked, line and sinker. I like AJ Firky. I want don't want to put this book down. It is a very easy read in how it is written.

My 2nd or 3rd time reading Emma. It's one of my favorites. Sometimes there seem to be too many books to reread favourites..but there is such comfort in spending time with your favourite characters. Emma is one of them. I would love to drop in her story. I love the change she goes through.

Excited fo read this all weekend. Letter writing? Yes. Please. :)

I'm sad that I am over half way. This book is just so good. I adore both of the main characters. And though there is some heavy stuff..I just don't want to be done with these two.

This book is far more intriguing than I thought. Who doesn't love a book that takes place in a library with quirky and mysterious characters? Also, somewhat humorous. Light reading. Day 3 of being sick...a book I needed

This has been a dream of my husband's for me to read at least book one. Beginning the new year by cashing in on his dream. It's his favorite series of all time. Wish me luck!

Definitely not the Disney version. It's quite dark...more like a Grimm's fairy tale. I don't feel like the content is really for teens. The writing is easy to read. But some of it is quite dark and maybe not for a teen? I know the protagonist is 15 going on 16 but every other character is an adult. It's an intriguing story, enough that I want to see how it all comes together. But far darker than I anticipated.

This book is like drinking your favourite latte. Comforting and cozy. A very enjoyable treat after trudging through Wuthering Heights and also reading a supernatural thriller. Trying to read outside my comfort zone. But being back in my zone feels so good.

Horror is not my genre in any format. But trying to try new things. So far this one isn't too creepy. But thar could change. It does have disturbing photos done by a child...so there is that? But because they are stick figures...it's a tad less creepy?

Anyone else who read the first few chapters get that this story feels like the OTHER person's story from a Hallmark movie? The one who isn't getting the haply ending they thought...lol.

Can Emily Henry actually write a bad book? I'm less than a third through this, and I already adore it. Her banter is so fun. It reminds me of the wit from Jane Austen...but far easier to read!

This story is painfully slow. Right now one of the characters reminds me of the boy from the secret garden. I wish his female companion was more like the girl from that movie..and got him out of his dreary funk and they escape to a gorgeous garden...alas, that isn't the case...

I'm hooked already.

I read this for school in the 10th grade. I am curiously how much I actually understood, lol. This book was slow to get into, but the story has gotten more interesting now. Joseph, when he speaks... I only understand 30% if that. The characters are interesting. Catherine isn't my favourite. She's a lot.

This book has sucked me into its fictional world. Imagine meeting characters from the book you love, and they look like you imagined in your mind? Add that to something mysterious, changing the real world, and you have yourself an interesting story. As you get to encounter many fictional characters, mostly from the 19th century.

So good. There are so many twists!

This is a great story. A bit of a polemic I think.
