so tired of the accolon plot line

I would pity Mary, but she does it so well herself. So far, this book, like the titular character, is miserable and dull. If you like Jane Austen novels, you probably like her wit. This book is so very humorless, apart from the bits taken directly from Pride & Prejudice.

Herr Grünlich is icky.

I feel like I'm reading a horror novel.

Dune has the Bene Gesserit, The Demon Cycle has the Damaji'ting. Dune has the Messiah, here we have the Deliverer. Jihad, Daylight War. "Fear is the mind-killer," "Fear and pain are only wind." Fremen, Krasians -- same, same.

Not saying 'cuz it's been done before, it can't be done again, but I am rolling my eyes a little.

these characters jut, lift, and jerk their chins every other page, it seems like. wish that had been edited out.

enjoying eve's pov but finding charlie's dull. glad i'm listening to the audiobook and can 3x speed her parts.
