deeply deeply obsessed with taussigs work. first encountered him through the devil and commodity fetishsim, which i absolutely devoured for a class on contemporary anthropological theory - some of the best ethnographic work i have ever read

this is the worst book i have ever read in my entire life i hate abandoning books but i genuinely can’t do this and im sorry i spent any money on it at all. this is apparently my old coworkers favourite book and i am so sorry kieran but this is unreadable.

i’m reading this for a class and as much as i adore theoretical anthropology i just can’t help but think that this book in particular is a load of bullshit.
