The only part of this book I care about even a little bit is Ruhn and Lidia.

The “I challenge us all to usher in a future where by 2010 we spend less time alone, staring at a glowing screen, and more time engaged in our communities” (not verbatim) is so bleak when looking at us today

No emotional Bryce and Hunt reunion after EVERYTHING???
Also, talk about convenient. We just so happen to have access to (multiple!) people who turn out to be 15k years old and can tell you about the events that unfolded. And Bryce just so happens to have the right blood to claim leadership. And gets the right info dumps when she needs to move forward. There are things I enjoyed, but they’re overshadowed rn

Why is every other sentence out of the main cast's mouth some Marvel-movie dialogue? Dear god, was it always like this? I don't remember it being like this.

Are we getting hokey with it? Yeah. Is there still value in what he’s saying once you peel back the layers? Yeah.

On the one hand, I get how him refusing to let his son believe he was disabled meant he was always looking for ways to help him function “typically.”

On the other hand, as someone who had a profoundly disabled sibling, whose parents did everything in their power to help him, I’ve lived this. There’s no amount of “just believe and look for solutions!” that makes the world all sunshine and rainbows.
